My Experience

Wildland Firefighting

Worked as a firefighter on an Oregon Department of Forestry Engine, a Squad Boss on a 20 person hand crew, and an Engine Operator for the US Forest Service.

Structural Firefighting

Started in 1991 as a Structural Firefighter for Valley Fire Service, then Rural Metro, and Retired from the City of Scottsdale Fire department in 2018.

Emergency Medical Technician

Obtained an EMT 1 and 2 certification from Umpqua Community College in 1992. Later became an EMT B in Arizona working closely with Paramedics.

I grew up in the Murphy area and became a firefighter in 1991.

My career in fire and emergency services spans decades, reflecting my deep dedication to the safety and well-being of the community. From battling wildland fires in rugged landscapes to responding to structural fires in urban settings, I’ve gained invaluable experience that has shaped my approach to emergency services.
