Question: What is your background in Josephine County and what is your place of employment?
My Answer: My family moved here in 1971, I grew up in the Murphy area, and Graduated from Hidden Valley High School. In 1991, I started what became my career in the fire service with Valley Fire. That lead me to Arizona in 1999, where I ended my career with the City of Scottsdale Fire Department. After retirement, it was time to come home. I returned home to Josephine County in 2018 and have been involved with our County Government in various ways. I’m currently the Chair of the Rural Planning Commission, The Vice Chair of the Josephine Housing and Community Development Council, Board President of the Mid Rogue Fire District, and President-Elect of the Caveman Kiwanis. These are all volunteer positions that being a retired Firefighter gives me the flexibility to do.
